Emergency Preparedness and Response Teams (EPRT)

Mondays and Wednesdays, 14:00 – 16:00 CAT

This module will give an overview of Emergency Humanitarian Preparedness and Response strategies and methodologies as well as build the capacity of participants with practical approaches for emergencies. Participants will explore causes of disasters and humanitarian catastrophe and how to respond. Disasters are either man-made or natural and are everywhere in the world, causing unpleasant memories and consequences. Participants will be equipped with tools and techniques to address these disasters theoretically and practically. Throughout the duration of the course, the facilitator will share their wealth of experience in Nigeria, especially that of EPRT. Nigeria is a country that has experienced lots of man-made and natural disasters and is still experiencing them today. The facilitator will also give some presentation on international Emergency Preparedness and Response.
