Emergency Preparedness and Response Teams (EPRT)

This module is designed to build the capacity of participants with an overview of Emergency Humanitarian Preparedness and Response strategies and methodologies as well as approaches during emergencies. Participants will explore causes of disasters and humanitarian catastrophe and how to respond. Disasters are either man-made or natural and are everywhere in the world, with unpleasant memories/ consequences whenever it occurs. Participants will be equipped with tools/ techniques to address these disasters theoretically and practically. Throughout the duration of the course, the facilitator will share his wealth of experience in Nigeria (especially that of EPRT in some States in the Country). Nigeria is a country that has experienced lots of man-made and natural disasters and is still experiencing more. There will also be some presentations on international Emergency Preparedness and Response.
