This module explores dynamics of leadership and how they relate to mechanisms of good governance. Participants will explore crucial capacities for leaders on every level and also expound on citizenry’s role to work jointly to ensure that all enjoy stable and sustainable societies. This module will delve into leadership & good governance as critical conflict prevention strategies as it draws from biblical, historical as well as modern-day case studies where leadership will be unpacked while being distinctly aware of the principle and practice of ‘servant-leadership’ exhibited by Christ. Important leadership traits, tools and models of organization and decision-making from various cross-cultural settings will be highlighted and investigated for their appropriate application in the African context and beyond. The relevance of characteristics and tools as they apply to various stakeholders and levels of leadership will also be shown for their use in personal, organizational and public roles.
